Introduction

Campus Crusade for Christ Namibia presents Outreach Skills Training programme (OST) for Christians, equipping them to get involved in the Great Commission the Lord Jesus gave to His disciples (Mt. 28:16-20). In order to live an obedient life to the Lord’s commission it is crucial that Christians know how to “go and make disciples of all nations”. We believe that part of obeying this commission requires believers to know ‘how to’ share their salvation story, explain the gospel, and help a new believer start growing in their faith. We acknowledge our dependence on the Holy Spirit in being effective witnesses of our Lord (Acts 1:8) and therefore emphasise in this training our humble dependence on the Spirit of God. Campus Crusade for Christ International (founded in 1951) has developed many practical skills for evangelism and discipleship. As stewards of our scope in ministry we seek broader opportunities to serve the body of Christ with these training and resources. This will assist our local pastors in getting the flock under their care equipped with essential skills for outreach programmes, giving every believer a chance to get involved in the Great Commission.
